A guy wants to swap his Roland MV-8000 for my MPC2KXL. He says nothing is wrong with it and i trust him.... I bought my ASR from him 4 months ago.
I'm going to check it out tomorrow.... I'll let you know the haps...

The MV8000 and MV8800 are great bits of kit. Try em out. See if you like.

Although they haven't buried the MPC as Roland would hope and that must be for a good reason.

I sort of feel the same way. I want something different but i feel like I'm getting rid of a good friend if I do trade with him. :(

The only option on the MV that he doesn't have is the VGA/Mouse option. He upgraded to a 120Gb internal harddrive and 1 Gb of memory.
My main concern if it's dual voltage because I'm heading to Japan next year and he doesn't know if it is.
My 2000XL has the microtech PCD-47B card reader, 9Gb internal hard drive and black pads. No 8-out option or effects board. so you see my dilema... his has alot more options than mine.

He had a 2000XL and sold it to get the MV (paid $1200). He said it was too complicated for him and wants to go back to the MPC. I told him he could try and trade it for a 2500 but he wants his 2000XL back. Now that's Dedication! 8)

wow, gotta research that sometime

I just followed what was on the midicase website.

After a few worked out glitches, it worked like a charm.

Checked out the MV... all I got to say is... NICE!!!
Had a lot of bad azz features but I sure would not want to part with my 2000XL.
He doesn't want to trade now. He's trying to hold out for someone to trade a MPC2500.
I told him good luck...
