A good software to edit and save vocals?

Im using my mpc and interested in helping people out in making demos.. Im just starting out and i wanted to know if anyone could give me some info on any softwares that you experienced using to edit vocals and use wit the mpc1000?[/b]

i use cool edit pro with the direct x plug ins, works great.

pro tools, cubase, logic, acid 4.0, sonar. there are thousands. how do you want to want?

cubase sx would get my vote- but i your gonna be going to big studios go pro tools free or le

I'd agree, with everything except "Go Pro Tools Free..." You won't be very satisfied with the free version..
