How to fix a warped album (?)

got an old Impressions album i bought at the store. but it's warped. any suggestions how to fix this?

Yo, now i read this in a SCRATCH magazine, and ive never tried it. Forgot which producer said it but.............. dude said to take the the turntable with the lid on and record inside and set it in the sun. Thats what i read, dont hold me to it.

getta hair dryer...heat up the record then place it between 2 hard flat surfaces

Clean the record first. Then get a flat platter and heat it, remove the platter from the heat to cool slightly. The platter (metal cookie sheet will do) does not need to be hot, it needs to be warm. If it's hot it will melt the vinyl and it will stick. Heat the platter, let it cool to were you can touch it with you hand without pulling back from getting burned (about the same temperature to the skin as hot bath water). Put the vinyl on it and underneath a weight (could be a text book or anything that's not abrasive).

The highest part of the warp...the part like this __/\_ needs to point up, as it needs to be pushed down with the weight, down to the platter. If it's put opposite it will wooble as the flattest point isn't on the flat platter....(----v----)....so it'd be a chore to balance and thus distribute it's weight.

If you leave it for a while, it should flatten out. This doesn't work if it's too badly warped, or if the two highest arcs of the warp occur in differing sides (top and bottom). An old in a studio where my uncles were recording showed me this when I was like 13yrs, and it's always worked for me.....except when the warps were beyond repair.

You know that causes warping right? Thats why you cant stack your records on top of each other.

If you search theres a thread from couple months back were some good methods were mentioned.

I spin the record with a heat lamp on it, gravity does the rest.

use search function you'll find more young padawan....

HAVE YOU TRIED IT ...I DONT BELEIVE I HEAR SAY< IT NEEDS TO BE ACTUAL FACT THAT YOU TRIED IT> if you search for my tips you will see my tips are actual techniques i have tried and they work.

so dude saying he heard dont work for me.
