Hi Hats/ cutting sample when hitting another

ive read the manual but after ive been reading for a while i start to not pay attention and forget what i just read lol so i prob read this and dont remember. how do you cut a sample off a pad after hitting another pad like when you wanna cut an open hi hat when hitting a closed one. just asking for quick awnser cant find in manual thanks

oh thanks man, i set the overlap to mono so that i could hit the same pad and overlap but i never knew if u hit open window it would bring that up, thanks
