Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi, I'll guess this qustion is asked all the time and therefore i have searched for a while BUT couldnt find it.

Here it goes: I want to play one sample on one of my pads and have any of the other pads to play their sound plus cutting the first pads sound off!

So if i play on pad 1 in bank A I want ALL the other pads in bank A to cut of pad 1 when i trigger them.

thank you. really hope u can help

PS: I got the MPC2000XL and is using an old OS. I havnt got the 1.14 yet.

see thats my point, thats is not the answer im looking for. In the post u linked its described how I make 2 pads cut of one! When I hit Open Window on the overlab I can first choose which pad to cut of two pads.

I need ALL my pads individually to be cut of by ALL the other pads.

Do you guys know how?

Perhaps you should look at the manual. It's only possible for 1 pad to mute 2 others at once.

I'm sure. It sucks, but just means you gotta be creative with the mutes. If you somehow find another way to mute more sounds I'd like to hear it.

yea man only 2 mute offs... does my wig in too sometimes, have even considered coppin a 1000 cus you can mute off the whole program which means you can make some siiiick tracks quickly... you can do the same the with 2000xl but theres a lot more thought involved making the process sloooow... i posted suttin which might help but its not exactly what your looking for, i been wrackin my brains also.
