When I'm playin a seq on the mp, the sound quality changes for fractions of a second. It's fugd up, the levels on my right monitors will go increase, and when it does it happen, the sound is much crisp and clean then when it reverts back to normal. I feel as if that is the way the sounds are supposed to be heard, its a strange occurrence . I hope I'm articulating myself clearly, I was wondering if anyone knows of this sort of issue im running into. Thanks!

Check your cabling, give them a wiggle while you have something playin.

def, had tried that method, i thought it might be the 1/4 adapter fitting in the main headphone output, but i dont think thats it either.

thats pretty weird, do you guys have the mastering effects on or off?
and are you listening on headphones from the headphone output or going from headphone to a amp/speakers?

it's real rare and happens for like 1/2 a second...i've had it happen with headphones and when listening through speakers. like the right side will change, it's hard to describe. It makes you think something went wrong with your ear for a sec. I almost always have the master effects on. I've experience it anywhere from 5-10 times since the JJ OS came out, which is real rare. It would prob be almost impossible to pinpoint and fix cause it would be so hard to try and reproduce it. It's completely random.

it's a panning thing. the oldest bug in the jj os, has seemed to be happening less and less. no one knows the complicated steps to reproduce it but it crops up every now and then.

my guess is that it has to do with polyphony because it never happens to me when i'm tracking a beat out (that would require me to either start tracking over again OR patch over that spot in DAW).

For me, the panning problem occurs with the Akai OS as well as JJOS and always has done. Every so often a sample will quickly play in the right channel then revert back to center. I have always put it down to a problem that my 2500 has with playing stereo samples. I guess I may have got a broken mpc.
