mpc 2500 limited

its really wild how the white finish makes it look smaller somehow.
like when i went to see it i was standing over it and just staring at the play/rec buttons trying to figure out if they were bigger or if the casing was smaller, kinda tripppy

At first glance, it kind of reminds me of the original MPC4000.
But anyway, this Limited Edition 2500 looks sweet.

Thats hot. I was jel when i got the advertisement in the mail. I'll wait for someone to sell the case also.

it's in the guitar center "new products, hot deals" mini magazine for october 07, just got it in the mail today. they also have it up on guitarcenter.com, but they don't have the images up yet. the magazine says it's only being sold at guitar center.

i do think it looks pretty slick, there's actually someone who customized theirs a while back to look like that. the pics are in the mpc studio environment forum (http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=16801&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=6784). i think i still prefer the black with gray pads though.

if they haven't changed what's on the inside,meaning bugs and pad issues, it don't matter.Friend of mine wanted to trade me his for my 2000xl or sell it to me for 1300.If i paid $700 i could get that paint job from Forat,minus the carbon sides and still save.....$300. This is probably akai's attempt to get rid of the last remaining 2500's so that they can come out with a 2500 Plus of discontinue the line all together.
Just my thoughts though.....Hey looks like paper weights have gone up in prices and now you can get em in limited editions too

this is BS... i just bought my black one last month @GC !!!

the mpc 2500 LE is ugly.

black is sleaker stealthier and it looks way better having the whole thing black. One color. with the LE you got white and then this black cube where the pads r, almost looks like they cut corners.

but for 4 bills more I'd go with a 4000, but thats me. resale value of the 2500's sucks right now.

It's nice but, not for the price increase. The carbon fiber isn't even real (or is it?). The one here at our GC is #149. If I had $ to wipe myass with, I might buy it but... I dont so I wont.
