Sorry dog, I never used a usb controller, I can only offer simple shit, like did you install the drivers? find it in your devices setup as working? Select it in you program of choice's midi menu and assign it to a track? Assign a midi channel to the controller an matched it to the machine?

You probably tried all this, or should have.
