Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

ive been researching samplers for quitea bit of time, and i finaly have enough money to buy a reasonable decent one

ive heard the mpc500 is good for hiphop and that kind of stuff, and so id like to know how its like for house, techno, trance, ...that kind of stuff

It's fine for any electronic music - it's a sampler so you can sample and create any type of sound you want. It's also a sequencer so you can build any type of music within it. There are no limits - MPCs are just used by a lot of hip hop producers, but there are plenty of techno and house guys that use them also.

I make Techno/ electronic music on my 500. I also use it as sequencer. It's dope!! :lol:

although im sortof confused on how the sequencer would work.. are there lights that show the steps or something?... because i dont reealy see any on the unit.. :?

The sequencer is not an analog 16 step type like on the tr-909. It's an "event" based sequencer. It's a good thing to read the user manual for any questios, it's alot better at explaining than me. :lol:
