Hello I'am a upcoming Rapper/Porducer. I have a Motif, Triton, Mpc-60 and Korg D32xd. I Mix each drum track indivisually, But my problem is that the hi hat always starts poping periodically "on each song" when i send it into the mixing board. What can i do i tryed using compressors, When i sample the hi hat into the 60 I make sure it is not clipping, but time and time again once i go to mix a record you can hear the hi hat pop occassionally in the mix. Which get me mad. I love the the 60 but is it time for me to upgrade to the 3000? is there any thing thatg i can do>
Thank you

that doesn't really make since, no way it's coming out of the 60 too hot...maybe you're recording it too hot, but if you see the waveform in your computer and it's not square on top then you're good...my only other concern would be you're pushing the master too hard since the his would be on top but that's not likely either

don't see how the switch to a 3k would help either really

It is making a cracking sound maybe it is the delay or the attack. I dont know but it is annoying and hurting my mix does any one have any suggestions.

make sure the hat sound is set to mono, not poly, might be overlapping?
