Scsi chords, Jaz drives, 2k classic

hey i got an Iomega Jaz drive im trying to hook up to my 2k it says its self terminating but its got some weird connecters in the back im guessing i need an adapter to hook it up? and the scsi id on my mp reads 7 when loading does that mean i gotta set the drive to 7 as well?

Do you have a db25 male to db50 male scsi cord? And try to use termination id #6

Here's a pic of the back oftwo jaz drives. The one at the top is a 1GB and the other is a two GB, though yours may look a little different.
The little termination switch says I A O. Seyt it in the middle to A and it will self terminate if you have no other SCSI devices connected (ornot if you do).
As for the SCSI ID. Set it to any number you are not already using apart from #6 as this is the ID of the MPC.





Then you will need a SCSI cable with 25 pin plug on one end for your MPC, and a 50 pin SCSI 2 plug on the other for the jaz drive.

I should warn you that jaz drives and discs have a bad reputation for **** up when you least expect it (so get your self some kind of back up) but hopefully you will have years of happy use with it.

i use the 2 gig jaz drive with my mpc2000 and have never had any significant problems....i dunno maybe im just lucky?
