Sampling question.........

On the 2000, its possibale to record a sample you like and chop it up into different pieces with only that one sample?? or do you have to record your sample the amount of times you want to use it and the chop each one up where you want them chopped? Thanks in advanced

yes you can chop it with just that sample but you gotta save it first and load it everytime you chop. word

yeah, you load up one sample and can use the chop feature to cut it up, then you can have it automatically assign each cut to a pad.

why doesnt anyone just use zone edit on the mpc2000 its not the same as on the 2000xl...but its still very easy to do...

never tried zedit but i do it really manually i guess but it works for me

i usually use the zEdit function after recording and saving a sample.. i hit the sixteen levels and it puts/"chops" the sample on all 16 pads.. I play with it and then chop the parts i like manually

i tried that technique but the chops are never useable for me
