mpc 1000 midi issues? couple questions,help plz

1. am i correct in my conclusion that the mpc 1000 doesnt have mtc and that the only way is thru the purchase of the jj-os?
2. their is no way to sync the mpc1k with ptools because protools only accepts mtc?

u can sync it to protools just with midi beat clock tho
