i only copped my mpc last wk - it came with an optional bonus 40gig Hard disk..
does anyone know if its possible to set the mpc to use the 40gigHD as though it is the standard internal memory, without having to load samples/prgrams/seqs to internal memory before you can use them? my internal mem is the standard 16 MB..
eg. i have a folder of drums samples on my computer thats like 500MB--how can i get that to my HD without loading it onto a flash card and then copying only 16MB at a time onto internal mem before i can get it to the HD?
as the HD is not standard i couldnt find anything in the manual bout it
thanks in advance if anyone can help

Did you discover the USB slot on the MPC already? Use that to copy your sounds onto the MPCs disk. You can mount it on your PC just like a USB stick.

hey thanks for the reply
yeh ive used the usb and it recognizes the 128mb flash card, but not the 40gig HD..(i can only seem to access that thru the mpc itself)...i can load my sounds from the comp to the flash card and then to the 16mb internal mem, but cant get a direct route to the 40gig HD..or even from the flash card to the 40gig HD..kno wat i mean?
cheers

you can switch whether your PC has access to the compact flash or the hard drive. you just have to switch it to use the hard drive.
