what am i doing wrong here..

i loaded a program on my s2000 off a scsi cd drive and i hooked an oxygen 8 midi controller midi out, to the s2000 midi in, and midi out of s2000 to midi in of mpc2k classic now i can play the keyboard i can hear the program off the s2000 im trying to sequence what i play on the keyboard is it a midi channel not set right or what?

im by no means a midi guru but, what channel is your oxy8 sending on, and what channel is your s2000 and mpc2k listening on?

also, does that s2000 have a midi thru port? if so, connect a cable to the midi thru, and connect the other end to the midi in on the mpc. do this instead of connecting to the midi out port on the s2000.


oxy8 midi out ---> midi in s2000 midi thru ---> midi in mpc2k

i dont think u can choose the midi channel on the oxygen ill try what u suggest when i get home tho thanks

you could also try oxygen midi out to mpc midi in and mpc midi out to s2000
