Pad upgrade kit

they've got one of the best reputations in their business for their customer service. plus they're on of few certified akai repair centers, so if you send your mpc in for repair, it might end up at them.

so will it work with 2.10? only reason i ask is that what my mpc came with when i got it from GC. I like it, i know everyone recommends The JJOS, but ima stick with this in the meantime.

I'd @least upgrade to 2.11. But to be honest, you really should get the JJ OS. Its simply way better.

The quality actually looks really good on that. I'm kind of impressed.

Would it be possible for you to take a few more pictures, one of it installed in your MPC (with the face panel removed) and also the underside of the rubber pads? That would be awesome.

So they really feel nice, eh? Is the sensitivity much better and are the pads a lot more supple. I've never felt any other MPC pads other than the 1000?

No you do not have to ever switch back to Akai OS as long as you have the newest JJ OS it will work. Basically you need to upgrade to JJ newest OS or Akais before you upgrade the pads....

Sensitivity is nice...If you have never felt other than 1000 you will love the new pad upgrade..or the other way as well. I have an MPC2500 , 2000 and 2000XL and I can still app. the new 1000 pads.

It looks good. How's the sensitivity? How do they feel compared to the 2000 XL pads?

I love that reports are that the sensertivity is the same as other mpc's. It also looks like the pad hardware seems to fall in line with other/older mpc standards.

But what about reliability? Are these "updated" pads also going to bust after a few months use? There is no talk about this anywhere.. whether it be on MPC Stuff or this forum. If I fork out for this "pad fix", I want it to be the last pads I fit to my 1000.

p.s How come there is nothing of this "pad update/fix" on the Akai site?

what do you think? If new customers read about a pad update fix, you think they gonna buy the 1000? It's like buying a new car but after you bought it you have to buy the engine yourself, that's crazy!

i just ordered a set of pads. is there a production que on them or will they be shipped striaght off? how long did it take for you lot too recive yours? cheers
