value of a first pressing of Reasonable doubt on vinyl?

hello, i was wondering what you guys think an original 1996 vinyl copy of Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt is worth. i know its not super rare or anything, and i dont think im gonna sell it, i was just wondering if i made a good deal or not when i bought another one.

any rap recprds you buy today are worthless.....if you bought two copyies use them to beat juggle thats prolly all it's worth.

in my book only rap music from 94-5 to 90 are good but NOT worth 10 bucks, unless you buy classic rap stuff.

what you got to know is that music to day is downloadable so it's not really worth buying EVERYONE can get it,plus with the serato...whats the use.

i would pick it up ONLY cause it's VINYL

It might be worth something 20+ years for now, and especially if Jay-Z dies an undisputed legend, but it ain't worth too much at the moment.

I've said this time & time again. As long as there is a re-issue with the same exact quality in the audio, and jacket design, your original pressing is only worth bragging rights.

if someone bootlegged this schit it would cost $20 in a shop... its worth at least $20...

ive seen someone pay $50 for Quik Is The Name, i love that album but id never pay that much... ive heard stories of people paying big bucks for the first Second To None lp, i copped mine for $9.99, but try finding that schit...

its worth as much as someone is willing to pay, nothing more really... it seems that the hot minute is up for flipping classic hiphop and getting astronomical prices for it are over... i be lookin schit up and see what schits goin for, some schit that was poppin for like $50 a couple years ago is goin for $10 or so now... it seems those into that classic hiphop have gotten out of buying recs online anymore... i see weird azz schit goin for high amounts though lately like old master p and no limit schit... its crazy... timing is everything for selling recs...

"rare" hiphop records are more expensive in europe, check ebay for prices!

@fobedafied you right about sellin records ,it's all about the moment,
there's still a buyers market for oldschool though, it's just to many new schooler are get gettin into this DIGGIN thing and they dont know the music of the past so we got these nuckool joints infiltrating the market.

yes , i stop buying off ebay, due to the prices. it's not worth paying there price.i can find it cheaper at a shop or collectors show sometimes,plus i meet so many people that collect vinyl that have stuff i'm looking for so i just buy direct, my classic rap has grown in the last few yrs. i have bought most of my want list that i have had for many many yrs,i only pay good for pre 86 rap records and depends on what it is.

In general, Rap music doesn't go for much unless it is the Original pressing, and classic, or very hard to find. Jay-z's Reasonable doubt is definitely worth something. I'm no collector, but I'd personally want at least $20 for an OG pressing. Give it a few years tho, it will be worth more. Independent pressings are always good to have also because the availability is limited. There really isn't much in the way of a price guide for hip-op/rap music. I have a VERY limited copy of slum villages "volume 1" EP on vinyl (and the full album on tape) and there's no way for me to know how much I would ask for it.
Your best bet is to place it on ebay, and let the people tell you how much it's worth. A friend of mine put "Que-D's" tape online (a 1997 dilla produced EP Tape only sold in Detroit) and folks bid up to $50.00 for it.

The instrumental is easy to find, but the vocal version was out of print only a few months after it was released.

the first one I looked for for 2 years, the second one just almost fell into my lap, lol
