Jus Got Tha 2500 !!! Quick question...

I jus got my brand new Akai MPC2500 with 128 mb ram expansion and 80 gb hard drive. I was just wondering if it would be necessary to get the Akai CD-M25 cd-r drive as well. Do you think that $199 is worth getting one?

besides there is a cheaper alternative if you really want it.

since these guys arent going to spell it out for you I'll help. You can get a cd drive for your 2500 for super cheap by slightly modifying a cheap cd-rom that is commonly sold online. I believe its made by Teac? and the model number is 224-E. Here is the thread.
