On the manual when its at the part of loading sounds, it shows a CD-Rom symbol on the LCD screen, I dont understand what CD-Rom this thing means, because appartlently I cant load sounds in correctly without this CD, because it keeps telling me "not enough memory"? What CD-Rom do I need, and where do I hook it up?

You need a 'SCSI' (pronounced "scussy") cd-rom player for the mpc 2000 and 2000xl, but they are slightly different. Which one do you have?

You also need the files on the CD to be compatible with these mpc's. They can read .snd and .wav files, roughly speaking.

"Not enough memory" means that the file(s) you are trying to load is too large to fit inside the onboard memory.
