i have a rack full of outboard processors, an s5000 and a korg ms2000r, a roland midi controller, and reason software, but i hardly ever touch any of that.

i want to get rid of the outboard gear for some higher quality stuff, maybe ditch the s5000 cuz it never gets any use, i use the ms2000 very lightly, so i'll probably keep that. reason i use if i am travelling just so i can get the beat making bug out of me.

only things i am looking to get soon are a new dj set up for studio use only so i can make my other setup the gig one, and maybe a cdj800. i am getting ready to borrow a sp1200 just to see what thats like, and i always look at ebay to see if i can score a cheap mpc60 for nostalgia. of course there are plenty of other items i want, but i dont really need anything right now.

mesh, if you had a MPC60 it would be for more than nostalagia, it makes a good break from the 2KXL. real dope machine, i miss mine.

word up, which one did you have, the I or II. i am looking at the IIs, but i honestly dont know which one is better or why. i am sure that has been discussed several times on this forum somewhere and is highly influenced by personal preference.

I had the I but would settle for either.

As you can see our setup is evolving into a straight software setup. It's kind of funny cuz this has only happened over the past couple of days and mainly cuz I helped a forum member with his problems using Sampletank within Pro Tools and discovered that Sampletank works great on my Athlon setup(I demoed it on my old sys and it didn't run too smoothly) so I bought it and so far I'm very happy with it. Don't worry, the MPC ain't goin' nowhere and I won't be in here tryin' to force software down everyone's throats.
