I new to this site and I've owned an MPC1000 for a couple of months.

I have already read a couple of threads regarding the JJ OS, but I was wondering if anyone can go into detail about this "password" thing required in order for the JJ OS to save, or something like that.

I went on the JJ OS site, but it was confusing..... Thanks in advance ppl.

If you download the latest JJ os - saving is disabled (the mpc will ask you for a password when you try and save with it)

The password is obtained through the JJ site - hit the Paypal link and pay, JJ then e-mails your password to you.

Hey presto - new OS!

Best value for money on any studio stuff i ever spent....

so everyone has a different password? in case you ever need to switch to the Akai OS will you need to get a new password if you wanted to boot up the JJ OS again?.... thanks for the reply tho

Nah - once the MPC has a JJ specific password inserted into it - the MPC then 'remembers' it - enabling you to switch back to Akai if you want to (you won't) - also any further JJ updates are all free (one password does all)

Basically, pay the man! - you won't regret it...
