Changing transport buttons on MPC 2000xl

I have two broken buttons in my transport that I need to replace. I have the replacements but can't quite see how the old ones come off the board. It looks like I need to get underneath to access it. Has anyone done this before?

I just ordered F1 buttons, Transport buttons and a new cursor from MPCstuff.com

I also got a red under button just in case and some extra's just to have lying around.

There is a video on youtube that shows how to change the cursor, but not the transport buttons., he says hes gonna fix them while its open but its not on the video.

the buttons on the 2k are so cheap/ akai went to shit when they let roger linn go...
I cant beleive even the 4000 doesnt come with 8 outs standard, what a scam.

to answer your question i think you have to squeeze the ends of the button and lift up, correct me if im wrong, anyone out there who HAS fixed transport of F buttons please speak up...

its easy on a classic im guessing the xl is the same take the screws out on the bottom and sides and then take off the metal casing, then push the side tabs of the buttons you wanna replace with a small screwdriver (or anything thats small enough to precisely push the tabs in, dont man handle it and you shouldnt break anything keep track of the screws you take out so you dont lose em and have fun
