I searched the forum but I couldn't find anything that directly related to my problem. I would also like to state that I am a new MPC user so it might be some troubleshooting or work arounds that I am not aware of. I have a MPC 2000xl with os 1.2 and I just purchased a card reader from vst services that came with a 1gb dane elec cf card. I have gotten the Card reader installed and was experimenting with my first beat on the mpc. I saved the .ALL and .APS file with no problem at all. When I continued my work and added more sounds and drums I tried to save the .APS again and it would save about 9 sounds and then give me a disk write error. I tried "with sounds", "with wav", "replace sounds: yes", and "replace sounds: no" and it gives me the same outcome. I also tried saving all sound individually in the same folder and then saving the .APS without sounds...and it saved all sounds individually with no problem, but when I load it up it loads to about the point where saving would give me an error and says "file unexpected ending". Is it possible that the CF card is bad or it's some glitch with the MPC? Has anyone else experienced a similiar issue?
*NOTE*
I did have some difficulty getting the card reader to recognize the CF card at first...even when I connected it to my PC via usb reader. Soemtimes I would have to plug it in and unplug it several times before it would read and recognize the card. Any help would be appreciated....
