mpc1000 data wheel sucks

hello - i really searched this site for info but couldn't find any. sorry if someone has asked this already...
The data wheel is crapping out - when it's turned - for example i want to make 3 a 4. But with one turn 3 goes to 5 - and i have to hold it carefully between two "notches" on the data wheel to get it to go to 4. Also, if a number is highlighted - sometimes it will jump forward of back. sorry for the sh@t description. can you understand? is there and easy fix for this? please help!

time to replace it
order one from mpcstuff and solder it in, very easy

Well if find that if i'm playing live and try to move the wheel I may make some mistakes if im not careful but just just just the number function most of the times and tap in the value which i need with the pads
