Hey,

So I just bought a used mpc 2500. There is a program called "JakeeFirst1" in the internal memory. Im assuming it is an old program somebody moved and saved to the internal memory rather then the flash card. There are also a bunch of sounds saved to the internal memory. I dont want any of this stuff so my question is. How do you clear the internal memory of the MPC? I have already turned the AUTOLOAD function off so it does not load that program or the sounds with the auto load function. Please Help.

Thanks ,

Avidone

Press the one of the F buttons under the screen in the load section, the one under a box that says UTIL that should wipe the memory. That should do it if not it say it in the manual

You can only Format the memory card in the utility menu, it does not allow you to format the internal memory on my mpc . Can you on yours?

and I have checked the manual

Ya definitely, If the save to section is set to "hard disk" it should erase the hard disk. I nearly doen it a few times by mistake

if you go to LOAD

then load from INTERNAL MEMORY

scroll down to FILE and click window ,

it will show you everything stored in your internal memory

thats what im trying to erase

check it out

thanks

Ya sorry i was thinking hard disk, i just checked it with my internal memory and it keeps going to memory card so no luck there.

maybe if you try over writing the files just a guess i'm fairly new to the 25k myself

You can only overwrite the internal flash, not delete it.
