why the 500 says insufficient memory

ok i got the 1.0 gb in the 500. i loaded some drum sounds to the pads. ok pad bank B&C have all drum sounds. pad bank A have 9 recored samples also some drums on the other 3 pads. now pad bank D have 6 recored samples now i have 6 empty pads.i want to recored some more samples
but the mpc say insufficient memory.

The 1.0 gb in your MPC that you're using is a Compact Flash card, which is only used for storage.
You need to upgrade the RAM. That's where all your samples projects, programs get loaded into.
Keep in mind that the RAM doesn't store anything when the unit is turned off. That's what your 1.0 gb CRF card is for.
