Whats the difference from having 6 poly or 12 poly or more?
What does poly really mean?

On the sp 606 it only has 6 poly and I forgot what the mp has but why do people always trip over that?
In Fruity Loops you just set the poly to 1 and the sample starts over when u press a key on ur midi keyboard.....What will that effect on my sp if I only have 6 poly? If I set it to 1 will my sample start over if I the same pad or the next pad jus like If I chopped a sample into 16 pieces and I play one pad and I hit the next and it stops the other pad and plays my newxt pad is that what my poly means?

go into PROGRAM mode.

Change Poly to NOTE OFF

OR

Highlight poly and hit open window. on this screen you can setup which pads cut off other pads. try it...
