The problem is pretty obscure .... I couldn't find answers in the search.
I can get Logic and the MPC synced up no problem (via MIDI TIME CODE), but when I record seperate tracks into Logic from the MPC , they don't start on the '1' of the bar , they are just a few frames early , but everything still sounds perfectly in time! It is pretty f*cked actually. Technically since it sounds ok it should be ok, but something isn't right, it should be right on the 1 of the bar.
Also the MIDI has been drifting, so when I record in a few different tracks and lets say I want to do a new snare pattern on the MPC and record it in over the previously recorded parts , the timing will sound right when I record it in, but once I playback the recorded part, the sh*t is out of time!
Oh, and I'm running a MOTU 828 and an EDIROL UM-3EX midi interface.
Any ideas/info it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
