anyone know how to use the tap tempo feature on the 2000xl so u dont have to hold it down....so i can just hold down the pad and it'll use the tap tempo feature, thanks.

If you mean note repeat then yes you can. Hold note repeat and press shift.

so does that mean it locks the note repeat func. with needing to hold it?

/\ yes it basically just locks the note repeat button on(without needing to hold it) untill you stop playing and hit the tap tempo button again.
