Flight Case

Am I crazy or is there no hard cases for the MPC 2000/2000xl? All I can find are soft cases/bags and this one cheapo case being sold off of eBay (islandcases.) I've been using one of my turntable flight cases so far but I need that for my tables.

It is a perfect fit, you can pull out the inner padding to fit the size and shape of the mpc.

SKB cases are great. Can't wait to get mine.

Is that the only case available? Nobody else copped any others?

i dunno over 100 for a case that dont make ne sense to me. i think building one would be a lot cheaper and prolly more sturdy (well maybe not more than skb but cheaper def)

The SKB case is the Sh!t.
The 2k classic fits like a dream. The XL needs a little extra padding on top.

If you're gonna be carrying that thing around , you want some good protection.

Look up Pelican Case. You may find something cheaper than what you've been looking at.

Just gotta figure out which Pelican Case fits best then...

Yeah I agree, I don't see the point of spending more than a bill on any given case...I'm thinking about just using my extra turntable case and finding some hard foam somewhere to modify it to fit...

im sure u can find some nice suitcases at the salvo or something that u can fit w/ foam im just saying id rather put a 100 towards a midi module or something than a case that dont benifit my beats at all

I'm sorry man I don't know of one specific. I don't own any kind of flight case. I just see a lot of em in the workplace. They're generally geared towards photographers. I would email them with MPC measurements. Let em know that your not concerend with it floating in the ocean (if thats the case). Simply which one would hold the machine while being as small as possible.

You fellas think a SP1200 will fit snuggly in the SKB case pictured above?

Also,

Any of you ever dropped or flew anywhere with your mp in that joint. I'm flying out from Houston or NY to London so I want to make sure my SP and MP arrive in one piece.

I just tried it and there is no way the SP1200 will fit in the SKB.

Well, get at me on the PM if you come up on a case that will. I'm looking into getting a custom calzone built for about $225. Hefty price but oh well, better safe then sorry.
