mpc2000 triton extreme midi question

what's up everybody! im new to this forum. realy like what's going on at this site. very informative.

i have a question. i have a mpc2000 and a triton extreme. what i want to do is use the mpc as the sequencer, play my drum patters on it, and record from the triton into the sequencer tracks of the mpc. i went to a music store and they gave me a usb to midi jack. i just cant get it to work. can someone give me some info on how to make this work. i would be greatfull. thanks in advance. hope got my point across.

Go by a simple midi to midi cable and hook up your MPC midi out A to your Triton midi in A. Then you can play your sounds of the Triton through your pads. Remember, you can't record sounds on the MPC that way, only midi data i.e. sequences of sounds triggered from the Triton.

thanx i figured it out. i am recording my sounds from the titon into the sequence tracks of the mpc.
