Does JJ OS support that new akai pad design thing ?
I have done some reading and lots of you say there are some velocity issues..
Is it logical to assume that the JJs will adress the issues ?

anyone?

JJ has addressed the LOW VALUE velocity issue: previously, we could only achieve values of 8 and above (sens. 16)

currently, there is still another problem: even on 16 SENSITIVITY, it is very hard to get to 127 velocity.

the CEILING is too high. we need a sensitivity setting bigger than 16

example: NOW, sensitivity settings = 9-16.
what we need: sensitivity settings =9-24

so less force = 127.
currently you have to apply a lot of force to reach 127.

in short, we are halfway there, but jj has other priorities right now. i'm sure this will find its way into the OS at some point, but like i said, there are other exciting things that are taking JJ's time right now.

UPDATE: mail from jj.

Hi nym

The sensitivity of PAD ON is not low. Is the sensitivity of a full level low?
Isn't velocity set to 127 even if it strikes strongly?
It seems that that is, new PAD has a narrow dynamic range.
PAD sensitivity 1-16 It changes into 1-20.
It is performed on Monday.
Please report to a forum.

JJ

part ii of the pad sensitivity problem appears to be solved in the next update via increased sensitivity options. this is good for individual fine tuning.
