tritons

would any 1 reccomend a korg triton le
i got a mpc 2000xl i want a korg but am not shure if the triton le will be good enough,any one have 1 or got any input

i basicilly want to know if the le is a joke or if its a good piece of gear,
i dont want the keyboard to do everything,i got the mpc too,but at the same time the keyboard cany be cheezy,im new so holla back if you will .

if all you need are trition sounds grab the le. but I would say save a couple 100 more and get a used trition so you can multisample.

hey, I gotta triton le 88, it has the weighted keys and the 32mb grand piano, thats what I bought it for, but have found lately that i've used a few of its internal sounds but havent had a chance to get right inside it. they work well and would be a nice addition to the MPC setup and give you a good variety of sounds and some nice sounding kits. I've read the keys are pretty cheap on the 61 & 76 key versions though.....
Im sorry I bought the le 88 and sort of wish I'd bought a cheaper 88 key(which I dont think exists with good midi features) and the rack version of the triton or motif rack. The 88 keys are a pain in the arse and I dont always need it, this thing is huuuge and way too big.
Anyway the soundset is good for variety but it might be owrth getting the rack. gotta get back 2 work...................

i have a triton rack i want to sell for $1,200.00 i have 3 cards with 16mb of ram the cards are studio essitials, pianos, and dance extreme

The Rack would give you more expansion options plus storage space to load your own patches... The MPC could be used as a controller for it if you don't mind playing the pads...

I would save up some more pennies and just grab the Triton Extreme, but that's just me though

Hey, I had no problems playing notes on the pads, especially bass lines & simple riffs... Shite most of my tunes were composed using the MPC 2K pads and I'm certain that 4K would broaden the range with 6 pad banks

Of course you cannot go Bethoven, but it's better than nothing

or you can use a midi controller for your keys

is a triton like a mpc where it has no sounds,or does it have sounds and you get the triton rack for all the sounds,i think i will save to get a triton extreme or studio plus,
oh what is a midi controller

a triton racks has all the triton sounds plus a sampler. a midi controller is a keyboard that plays midi notes. lets say you have a mpc and four sound modules coming out of midi a,b,c,d and a midi controller coming in on midi 1 you can sequence midi to all four modules. I seen 61 key midi controllers at GC for $99 bucks. If your interested get at me PM me ONE!

ya a triton rack is just a triton without the midi controller, and sequencer I think (well in most cases sound modules don't contain sequencers)

I for some weird reason think I read something about a Trition Rack having a seq

I don't think it has a sequencer, but it could have a MIDI file player (like the akai s2000), but I don't know.
