Just sample a whole riff two, four or 8 bars of it. Chop up into regions assign to a note and get a midi keyboard and you are good to go. This is none other than midi basic and understand basic sampling.

However you have to do this MANUALLY no hardware machine is going to do it. Software can automate alot but now you got to pick up a manual and read!!!!

Note offs, Note ons you can set it up however you wish check out the reference manual. But from the looks of the videos he is using standard note on with the keys like a regular piano.

Look closer, while he releases the key, another note gets triggered.
