I currently have an MPC 1000 and will soon upgrade to the 2500... I want to know if with the CDR drive if you can burn a song that you have made as an audio cd. Or export your song to the computer using the USB drive.

Ok I searched and found that you can only do a .wav record of your song like on the 1000. So now my question is what would be the best option for recording my beats after I have made them. Audio interface and Pro Tools? A Digital Recorder? What's the best option?

What makes you think the audio burning to CD in the MPC isn't good?

What I do for a quick listen to the track or for writing purposes (when I don't feel like tracking the whole beat) I just record the Main Output of the MPC and make one long sample of the whole track and burn it to cd. Pop it in the car stereo to get ideas for songs.
