Change & Addition : Ver4.89 29-Oct-2007
------------------------------------------------
1. Change the range 1-16 of PAD sensitivity into 1-20.
Selection of the velocity curves A, B, C, and D was abolished.
In order to save OS memory.
Curve A (linear curve) fixation. Offset of the Low level of a PAD velocity
MODE+PAD7 [PREOGRAM]
[Level]
[WINDOW] Amp Envelope
Velo.->Level:100 <----
It can adjust here.
Velo.->Level:100 PAD velocity1-127 ==> Sound level 1-100
Velo.->Level:70 PAD velocity1-127 ==> Sound level 30-100
Velo.->Level:50 PAD velocity1-127 ==> Sound level 50-100
Velo.->Level:30 PAD velocity1-127 ==> Sound level 70-100
Velo.->Level:0 PAD velocity1-127 ==> Sound level 100-100

2. The value of SWING was memorized.

3. Input thru ANALOG/DEGITAL was memorized.

4. [MAIN]
F1[T. C.] =>F5 [FIX] =>F2[ALL Tr] is added to timing correction "FIX" All tracks are corrected.

5. [MAIN]
MASTER tempo is added.
(SEQ) --- It plays at the tempo of each sequence.
(MAS) --- All sequences play at the same tempo.

Oh, I don't think its major if you don't use a external sound module, but me and a coulple other folks have ben experiencing some weird lil anoting thongs going on. I'll press Note Repeat without pressing any other pad and a unwanted pad will be triggered @ the rate that my T.C./ Note Repeat value is set to. If I use Note Repeat while recording it will even record those unwanted pads. The unwanted pad that gets recorded is always random. Rarely does it record the same unwanted note/pad.
And when I record a half note or longer in the first bar it gets cut off after the beat loops around from recording. But it only cuts off the first time the beat loops around or if you press stop and then press Playstart it will cut off that long note, but after the first time it loops it'll play fine the rest of the time the beat loops.

Damn $180 for these mugs. My pads don't seem to be that bad. Are the original pads defective if so how bout Akai giving a better price. Ha yeah right.

Thanks JJ. The pads can be a tad bit more sensitive though.

i'm a little confused as to what this means for those of us who are still using the OLD pads. will this give us more sensitivity or less? will we be able to adjust this so that the velocity is comparable to the older JJ OS's, or is this update only good for people with the new pads?
