Anybody know any good spots in Kent? Also what are the best spots in south London (SE1 area), because my girlfriend just moved thers, so I'm there quite a bit but haven't had much of a chance to go diggin but she promises me next time! You know how it is...

That's nice... I live in Oxfordshire and apparently we don't exist . Nice to see New York's there though. Is that somewhere near London?

Cheers for the link man. Have to say though it's not great for England. I could only find 2 record stores listed in Covent Garden & Soho put together! I guess I'll just have to go old school and hit up the yellow pages...

theres rat records in camberwell and there a shop near lewisham centre but i cant rember whats it called lol. Other then those two i hit up the charity shops they all way got good cheap records.

I've been in London recently and the two best spots I found where up in Islington on Essex road....Flashback records (50 Essex Rd) and Haggle Vinyl (114 Essex Rd). There's two more smaller spots on Hanway Road close to Tottenham Court Road station. Also make sure to check Berwick St. in Soho. All pretty easy to reach with the tube.

I've only had a quick look in both these shops - haggle seemed a bit over priced and flashback was ok. There is also another spot next the jazz cafe just off kingsland high street

For european means they were ok in my opinion. At Flashback I got a mint Delfonics album (the one with the awesome Ready Or Not joint on it) for 15 pounds, a mint Funkdoobiest Brothers Doobie for 12 and a few others for under 10. Quality of the vinyl was excellent, even if they noted only VG+ on the sticker.

there is 3 spots i visit once a month in brighton.


2 are small lil shops but the 3rd is da daddy. big store with hundreds of crates. prob got like 5 / 10 50p crates.

for me this is the best i could find and im in south london.

Also.. Haggle is way over priced but you can always 'haggle' over prices.. Flashback is o.k especially if you are looking in the rock and pop sections, soul, disco and boogie sections are not so good.

You need to check out all the exchanges. Notting Hill, Camden, Soho, Greenwich.. Google car boot sales and do a mission round all of them.. Can be hit and miss but if you hit, you can hit big.
