Newbie needs help

I just picked up a MPC 2000XL and only have one simple question. Do I have to load my samples everytime I boot up or can I save them so I can just access them when I boot up the MPC?

MPC uses RAM memory, so everytime you turn off the power, the memory goes empty. So...

thanks thats pretty much what I thought. other than that it seems fairly easy just to learn on your own

Can't remember how exactly, but when I turn on my MPC, it automatically loads some sequences and programs into memory from the zip disc.

I'll post how it did it later, I'm not in front of my MPC right now and my mind is running a blank on it.
