Ok, I have not been to this forum in a while, but just heard about the JJ OS. Now, I have been scanning the pages, and the JJ OS is clearly an improvement in the 1000, but what exactly does it give you for the 2500?

In all honesty, I have not fully come to understand the factory 2500 OS, so I don't know what to look for in terms of improvements from the JJ OS.

Can someone please tell me the primary changes and improvements, or direct me to a page that can?

I should note I am currently using my 2500 to control a Virus synth, and want to know if JJ OS offers any improvements in controlling external hardware. Your help is much appreciated.

Blessings,
Damon

Amongst many improvements and additions JJOS added the ability to allow your Q-link sliders and pots to send MIDI CC data. Now if that aint gonna make you get JJOS for controlling your virus synth then I don't know what will.

word, that makes sense. If the external CC data does not entice you, nothing will.

FOLLOW UP QUESTION: so you mean to tell me that, without JJOS I cannot use a 2500s knobs and sliders to control external machines?
thanks

Aye.
No JJOS, no Midi CC data can be sent with the Q-links.

I've been usin my 2500 for a several months. Then my friend bought the 1000, and got the jj os. I spent about 5 minutes with it and was totally blown away by it. It's unbeleavable. I really don't understand how i lived without it. Really genius improvements. Everything i wanted from the official os is there. U should check it.
