When I bought my MPC 2KXL this guy gave me a zip disk that uploads all the drums to specific pads without having to manually assing them. Im new to using this so Im wondering if there is way I can set up a zip disk to automatically assign itself to specific pads without having to go through all my stuff to load to each one.

Any help would be awesome.

what u loaded is called a program, when u load a program its assigns whatever u assigned to the pads when you made a program. do yourself a favor go out get a turntable, a couple records and a manual and good luck bro. word

Thanks for the help.
I got a turntable and my mom is going to give me her whole collection of records(atleast 800)

Where can I download this program for PC?

Grab a copy of the manual from the akai website in a pdf file. By program he means the mpc pgm file type. If you would like to create these pgm files on a pc you can get mpc editor or on a mac mpcpgm maker.

now that you got records sample drum breaks (ie. 2-4 bars drum loops) chop them up and then make your own drum programs by assigning the chops to pads in the PROG mode you eventually have a nice library of drums then. word
