maximization of code space by making CURVE apply to ALL pads instead of one by one

pretty smart, i like it.
wonder why they were brought back at all though, i have really never heard of people talking about curves

PLUS, all the curves are backwards, IMO. i'd rather then be the other way around.

daaamn 25 is SENSITIVE. very nice. i set mine at about 21, 22 and i'm happy.

codewise we are locked and loaded with these new pads
however they still need those additional physical, non-code adjustments that i was talking about. the space in between sensor and rubber is bothering me

This is great! I will try it when I get home.

Nym,

Out of 127, was the low threshold adjusted like 2.11, or does JJ's still start at 8?

jig--threshold is adjusted. starts at 1, goes smoothly all the way to 127. i find 25 to be TOO sensitive, which is good, because it is the highest option.

i find all settings below 16 to be unusably low.

d-rew: no.

i just brought this up a couple days ago. i've always had my velocity curves adjusted for my pads. i'm using 3 different curves because the response is different from pad to pad.

from my post here:

Sooty_G wrote:it's also possible that the new akai os is using a different velocity curve than what jj has currently implemented (linear). it's a shame that jj removed those customizable velocity curves in the latest OS. i think tweaking those made a big difference in the pad response and it might have something to do with the different feel that some people are reporting here.

We're almost there...

The pad sensitivity still isn't quite matching 2.11.

The high velocity is there, but if you tap the pad ever so slightly, it won't register in JJ 4.90. However, Akai 2.11 responds to the slightest touch.

Do you know what I mean?
