I was wondering how to get the note off,..on one pad ,...or 4 pad without interfering with other poly on other pads,..like i have a chopped sample across pad 1 to 4 and my drum samplz are on the 5 to 8,..can someone help me,..I used to have it on akai mpc 2000xl ,..but it seemed gone in the mpc 2500......or maybe i`m wrong ,..I want the sample to stop playing direct after I let the pad go and start direct when I press on the pad,....thanks

I think what your trying to do can be done with Note On or Mute Groups. You can set the samples on a pad so that they play the whole way through when you hit a pad (Note On) or so that the sample stops when you let go (One Shot). To do this highlight the sample namd when your in Program mode and press Window. Then another window comes up and you can select Note On or One Shot. Also you can set up mute groups in the Parameter section of the Program Mode. this way you can set up certain pads to cut off other ones.

sorry i said it back words, One Shot plays the sample the whole way through, and Note On only plays for as long as you hold the pad down.

I didn't really mean highlight, i meant put the cursor over the sample. LIke when you go to Program Mode, and you can choose which sample is on a pad. when you have the sample selected hit window.
