you've already got 192 ppq. try that before going higher.
i agree that 96 ppq is a little too coarse for my tastes

Antonym, can you explain? Is there something I missed? Is there a way to get 192 on j.j. os currently? If so can you point me to it. 8) 8) I don't miss the crap that came along with my 4000 ,but there's something more in it's groove which I wish the 2500 could mimic.. but please do share.. ?

Or are u simply speaking of doubling the tempo?

Its hard to get the same feel/bounce when using this method. (depends on the style of drumming)IMO

I asked for this awhile back...i dont think this will happen but im still hoping it does.

nam man think about it, how can it be any different? it's the exact same thing, just doubled - doesn't depend on style at all. the only thing that's different is that 2 ticks now represent the 1 that you were used to. it's like a higher bit depth.

"I tried...it aint for me."

I feel ya, but here's a way to get around it. First, lay down your hi-hats, then turn of the metronomes sound. Now your hats are your timing, and listening to the sped up clicks won't mess you up.

you can also turn off the accented click so it only appears every quarter note.

what would be really cool if you could just set the value per track. Would make me happy and I think it's possible software vise.

Depends on what you are use to.
If you are use to the 4k or the MV you will notice that when you double the tempo it's not the same as when you use higher resolutions.
Could be a slight bottle neck create in the CPU working that way, but there is a difference.
Or it could be derived from the mathematical reference the sequencer uses to create the different PPQ's not working quite the way it's supposed to when the tempo is doubled.
In theory it shouldn't matter and again it's pretty close but something doesn't translate quite right.
Seems more noticable on the MIDI notes than the internal sounds, maybe because you play chords to the other devices.
If the 2500 have a full sampler maybe you could notice it better with the internal sounds as well.
Maybe what you should ask JJ for is a functional 192 PPQ.
