how do some you all dirty up, F** up samples

just curious as to how you all dirty up the beats the drums the samples, at moment i experimenting with a cassette deck and distortion pedals or rather pedal. i tend to overdrive mty mixer as well.

yo you can resample if you goto program and highlight name of the sound or in trim and then hit open window then CONVERT then move the data wheel so it then says resample. 12 bit is that gritty durrty sound. Also you can **** with filters and shit

is that tip for the MPC2000? because it doesn't work on mine. when i press convert it doesn't give me the option to change it, it just says about converting mono to stereo.

that work on the 1k also?

remember that on the 4ooo, even if you resample to 12bit, it will still say your sound is 16 bit. The sampler will be playing it at "16 bit" resolution, but it will sound 12 bit.

yeah except you sample the mainout back into the record in via xlr cable and there you have it.

I find that amp simulaters do a great job of this. If you have a PC I like Amplitude. If external use the POD or somthing similar.

the resampling thing is cool, but i wish there was a way to directly sample to 12 bit, 22050, because the resampling is real slow.

MPC2000 doesnt have resampling.It works only on the XL.

filter ur sample through anything that will continue ur stream of music to the next thing- tape player to comp to mixer to mpc
