I juss bought a sandisk 4gb compact flash and inserted it in my mpc 1k. I go to the record mode and press window to check how much sample time i have now with the 4 gb but it still says "16 MB" installed" showing that i still only have 55 seconds of recording time. SO what do i have to do to get the mpc to read that i have a new Card in it ?? THX

cf cards don't provide more sample time, they are for storage/saving. if you want more sample time, you need to purchase a ram expansion. check the stickys in the 1k forums.

no. you need 128mb of ram. hd is optional, but does not increase sample time.
