how do i know what OS i'm running?

i picked up my 1st mpc-2500 from guitar center. the thing is that it was used, so i'm not sure what OS im running. is there anyway i can find out?

also how can i find out if im current with the latest updates?

When you boot up the MPC2500, look at the screens while they are loading. It should show the current operating system. If not, press the Global button. There it should show what operating system is running.
