I actually know nothing about the 1000 but ill take a stab at it..

I'm guessingyou would need 8 outputs installed. if its similar to the 2000 (as far as routing goes), you would go into the MIXER screen and hit the pad you want to change. then you can select which output(s) you want to route the pad to...you do this inside the mixer screen. its pretty straight forward.

that's spot on m.sm. - except the 1000 comes with only 6 outputs, and they
are already installed.

shza - you can't route complete tracks in the mixer screen, only pads.

hit MODE and then MIXER and then one of the function keys should say 'OUT'
or something like that (can't remember which one, i'm away from my MP
currently)
and then you can select, pad by pad, which output you want to use.

if you've got the akai OS then to seperate things completely you'll have to
use some clever panning - the akai OS only allows stereo grouped pairs,
i.e. 1/2, 3/4, and ST - the JJ OS allows individual outs to 1,2,3,4, and L, R.

very sweet....

but remember if you route a stereo sample to only ONE output, you'll only
get one channel of the sound (i think it's left by default)
