This feature used to be on the regular OS

it's kind of different now though. in the original os you had to hold the AFTER button. same with the 4.9. now, you can just hit AFTER and move the slider without holding it. this is a little less clumsy on the hand.

Maybe this is an indication that the OS will be finally completed....

That's what I thought, but I see now. Dope JJ! Still waiting on that weird midi thing to get fixed. Maybe I'll resend that.

Trimming is now officially A Breeze. I would like to see JJ implement a function that would fire lasers from the Digital Out and then you could control direction and intensity the lasers with the Q-Link. I drank Guinness. Now I think funny.

Does this work within the "Chop" screen too, or just in Trim?

just trim. i wish it worked in CHOP, but JJ has a good reason.

It changed so that it might work, when LED was ON.
and LED is come by off when a sample is changed.
A slider may change by vibration which strikes PAD or pushed the button.
When PAD is struck in MIXER mode, there are many claims that PAN and a level will change.

Since a region is lost in an instant in CHOP, a slider is not used in CHOP.

explanation - since the END point of 1 slice will override the END point of the next slice, qlinks in CHOP could be hazardous. imagine - you've just sliced perfectly a 64 slice sample, and then accidentally while working on the first slice you bump your Q2 - BOOM! all slices are gone, now, and the end point of slice 1 is smack at the end of the sample, all your hard work useless.
