Are you saving the individual sequence or are you saving all sequences and songs?

It sounds like you are saving over your old files. You need to make a new folder for each project and save each project in it's own folder, using the SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY function. Then when you want to load the project, go into the folder and load the .PRJ file.

yeah im saving entire memory and it does save over other stuff and sometimes it will have the first beat i made instead of the new. so i will make one save it. make a new one save that one too and it plays the first beat i made. im gonna try the folder thing and see if that works thanks

5 in depth answers for every bowl pack

nah Tbonus is right, you're saving over files. make sure you save in new folders that you create BEFORE starting your work. the os has a known bug where new folder creation will freeze your mpc...watch out

another thing does it matter if you name all your kiks, kik and all your snares, snare or will that make it over write them

yes it matters... don't have duplicate file names in the same project/folder. Use numbers if you need to.... Kick1, kick2, kick3, etc.

damn im still having trouble guys. i tried making a new folder but i dont know how to save inside of it. it says there is a folder there but i dont know how to save into it. i made just a quick bass line to see if i could save in there and made a new project, saved it but when i turned off the mpc and turned it back on and loaded up the project it had all of the sequences from one of my other beats. i went to save entire memory and named the project something different and put NO where it says replace same files.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.

THANKS IN ADVANCED

dude - press [mode] + save and just use the cursor keys to move up and down to get to the folder you want - then to go into a folder just press the right cursor key - and come out of the folder, use the left key.

hope this doe's the trick for you.

cheers
