anybody knows if the model MPC1000BK-N, which is being sold in japan, has got the new pads or the old ones?

If it comes in a blue box, then no.

Mines come in a black box but it says MPC1000BK it don't got that N on it! Does that matter?

mine just says MPC1000BK without the N and definitely has the new pads in it.

I just purchased one a few days ago and cannot for the life of me figure out if I have the new pads or the old ones... I have the BK version and I cannot lift the corner pads as stated somewhere on this site.... My MPC came in a black box and the pads resemble the ones on the pic for the "Beat Making on the MPC1000" pic.....

WY i do not have ananswer for you... But the 1kBK also comes with the new pads most of the time... I got one last weekend and it had the older pads, but I returned it to SamAsh and got another one with the same (BK) and that one had the new pads..... I am not sure why this is, but you can always check the local stores for one....
